I've had many chicken and waffles in my lifetime but Gracie's (hands down) is the best I've ever had. The waffles were warm when served, crisp on the edges and soft/pillowy (not soggy) on the inside. And the chicken was so flavorful, crispy and juicy. Omg. I'd drive the whole 2 hours to the Catskills just for this.
My husband and I had brunch here on our way back to NYC from a weekend in the Catskills and were very happy and satusfied how delicious our meals were. Priced reasonably for the taste (!!) and portions. My husband had the roast beef sandwich and he said it was excellent.
I'm feeling hungry just writing this. -

Wish I could give four stars as the food was fantastic and we really liked that they make most of their own ingredients and source locally. Unfortunately the servers were overwhelmed as orders were messed up, people served who'd arrived after us when we'd not gotten our food yet. It took ten minutes to get coffee and juice and another twenty to get our oh so delicious breakfast sandwiches. I saw that they were hiring but they should've been more prepared just after opening on a Sunday morning. Maybe make people wait so they could serve properly?
P.S. the windows on the front open out which has allowed bugs to get in. The first table we sat at had about 100 tiny little green gnats hanging out about 8 inches from my seat. We moved. They need to clean that daily while those little bugs are around. -

Gracies has tasty lunch foods and a great selection of drinks, homemade sodas, and donuts! (They make a burger on a donut too which I haven't tried but sounds very interesting!)
Their bread is fresh and delicious on their sandwiches. The views from the back room are beautiful as it looks over the creek down below!
My favorite dishes are the sandwich lunches, which can be a bit pricy for lunch, but the quality is there! Fries were also a little greasy but were fresh cut and still delicious (because greasy can be very delicious!)
Service seems to be slower, so give a little time to enjoy a drink and some good company!
Definitely worth a try for a good lunch! -

The sun is shining, the creek is flowing and they're playing Grateful Dead. I'm in heaven. And the food is great. Donut ice cream sandwich is like when you were in college high late at night and in need of nirvana. A grilled donut with vanilla ice cream and caramel inside. Yes, that good. Dynamite bakers. And all around good place with heart and soul and seriously good food cooked with seriousness and love.

Unsuspecting exterior, big surprise on the inside! Don't be deceived by its humble exterior. The food was excellent! I wanted to lick the plate clean. Everything here is home made, including the roles for the burgers, the bread, the deserts etc. the staff were also a delight!
